Medium Range Interplanetary Fighter-Bomber

The Trident is a four seat fighter-bomber designed for medium range interplanetary engagements. Known to be sturdy overall, the Trident (as an unfortunate side effect of the design) is prone to taking more damage from critical hits than other ships. A stock SF-37a sports two 40mm rotary projectile cannons and two nuclear capable guided missile tubes for which it carries a great deal of ammo when fully loaded. Medium - long range guided missile / torpedo capability suit the Trident for striking hard at capital ships.
